First in Flight

With 58 colleges, North Carolina’s community college system is the third largest in the nation. This network of affordable schools is recognized nationally for its proactive partnerships with local industries. While biotech is a large part of that recognition, aerospace technology complements the role biotech plays in placing our state at the forefront of today’s most promising, and most needed technologies.

Our community colleges offer a variety of certificates and degrees in aviation: from flight instruction to maintenance and advanced assembly techniques. The college system’s close relationship with new and expanding aviation companies ensures students learn up-to-date, relevant skills necessary to advance in this growing industry.

Aerospace highlights examples of this successful relationship while emphasizing the hands-on training available.
